Bears deserve to live a safe and peaceful existence

The greatest threat to wildlife is assuming someone else will save it.

Our mission is to stop the trapping and killing of black bears in the Lake Cowichan area by pursuing education, advocacy and safety measures that foster human and bear co-existence.

A fed bear is a dead bear. Community education is crucial to achieve our mission.

With the focus on stopping the killing of bears that have become human “food” conditioned, we have been collaborating with the residents and businesses of the community, our local conservative officers, WildSafe and Lake Cowichan Town Council and staff.

DONATE

Whether you’re most comfortable contributing time to help achieve our advocacy goals, money to help us provide more education and community outreach - every bit of support is appreciated by the bears and wildlife living within our communities.
